In this role you support the commercial delivery of a diverse portfolio of highways and infrastructure projects. You will work with operational teams to ensure projects are profitable while maintaining strong client relationships. You’ll handle valuations, payments, and variations, monitor costs, and assist with CVRs and final accounts. The position offers progression within a growing contractor and exposure to NEC contracts in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities
Support commercial management from contract award to final account
Prepare valuations, applications for payment, and compensation events/variations
Monitor project costs, budgets and forecasts to maximise commercial performance
Assist with Cost Value reconciliations and other commercial reporting
Procure and commercially manage subcontractors and suppliers
Build and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders
Identify commercial risks and opportunities and provide practical commercial advice to operational teams
Support negotiations and assist with final accounts
Key requirements
Experience in highways, traffic management, utilities, infrastructure or civil engineering
Experience in Quantity Surveying (highways/traffic management or civil engineering preferred)
Experience administering NEC contracts and managing subcontractor accounts (beneficial)
Open to Assistant QS looking to progress or established QS seeking greater responsibility
