Capital Management Lead

Overview

In London, you will lead renewal and placement workstreams from strategy to execution, collaborating with underwriting leaders to understand capacity needs and translate opportunities into market actions. You will manage carrier, reinsurer, and fronting partner relationships, supporting negotiations and capacity for existing portfolios and new products. The role combines portfolio analysis, market strategy development, and senior stakeholder recommendations within a growing Capital Management team. Expect exposure to UK and US leadership and cross-class work across multiple underwriting portfolios. This is an opportunity to shape capacity strategy and portfolio outcomes in a global specialty

Responsibilities

• Lead renewal and placement workstreams from strategy through execution
• Manage relationships with carriers, reinsurers, and fronting partners; support negotiations
• Secure capacity for existing portfolios and new products
• Analyse portfolio performance and develop market strategies
• Support business planning and prepare recommendations for senior stakeholders
• Collaborate with underwriting leadership to understand capacity requirements
• Work across multiple classes and across UK and US leadership

Key requirements

• Background in underwriting or broking
• Experience with MGA/programme business, portfolio solutions, delegated authority or facilities
• Ability to move into a broader capacity, carrier relationships and portfolio strategy role
• Exposure to senior underwriting leadership and cross-class portfolios
