Project Manager – Water Sector

Overview

As a Project Manager at Stantec, you will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of a diverse portfolio of water sector projects, ensuring alignment with client expectations and the company’s PM framework. You will build strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors and internal teams, identifying risks early and keeping projects on track. You’ll manage budgets, schedules and resources, with regular reporting to stakeholders. This role offers hybrid working in the North West and a chance to impact multi-disciplinary water projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution and delivery of a portfolio of water sector projects
• Ensure projects align with client expectations and Stantec PM framework
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, contractors and internal stakeholders
• Identify and mitigate risks early and address issues proactively
• Manage budgets, schedules and resources to meet financial and operational targets
• Prepare and present updates and documentation to internal and external audiences

Key requirements

• Experience in the Water industry with project management and commercial management experience
• Industry recognised chartership (e.g., CEng or similar)
• Industry recognised project management qualification (e.g., APM PMQ or similar)
• Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and build strong stakeholder relationships
• Proven track record in project management with proactive risk management and mitigation
• Experience leading and mentoring team members in project and commercial management
• Willingness to work in the UK and not require sponsorship (unconditional right to live and work)
