Overview

In this Finance Internship, you will support the Accounting & Reporting Manager to ensure accurate, timely financial recording and reporting for BMW UK & Ireland. You work with cross‑functional teams to drive process efficiencies and support month‑end, year‑end, and auditor requests. You’ll gain exposure to SAP, management reporting, and stakeholder collaboration across the finance department. This role offers hands‑on experience in accounting processes and a gateway to professional qualifications in finance.

Responsibilities

Participate in monthly and year-end close processes to ensure accurate entries
Daily validation of SAP interfaces from source systems
Support finance projects with end-to-end ownership on process improvement
Prepare/maintain monthly control account reconciliation templates and status reports
Assist with information for internal/external auditors to ensure financial statement accuracy
Support preparation of monthly Management Reporting pack, including updating slides
Act as key SAP user across the business, handling system requests and guidance
Assist with onboarding new users and maintaining user access
Be a point of contact for interns on Finance topics and support intern turnover
Address ad-hoc requests from Finance Management Team

Key requirements

Currently studying for a degree in a numerical discipline (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics)
Interest in pursuing ACA, ACCA, or CIMA
Strong A-level results and on track for a 2:1 degree or higher
Must be returning to studies for at least 6 months after placement
Right to work in the UK
