Overview
In this Technical Director role, you will lead the HV Primary Plant team on civils design for substations, refurbishments, extensions, and new-build schemes, ensuring FEED and detailed design quality. You’ll work with multidisciplinary teams and engage key T&D clients to shape technically excellent, value-driven outcomes. Your leadership will grow the HV primary plant capability and strengthen client relationships, driving growth and energy-transition initiatives. This is a UK-wide, flexible opportunity to influence major projects and mentor talent.

Responsibilities
Lead the HV Primary Plant team on civils design projects
Oversee FEED and detailed design for substation refurbishments, extensions, and new-build schemes and associated infrastructure (e.g., OHL)
Drive technical excellence and high-quality delivery across projects
Engage with UK Transmission & Distribution clients to apply sector knowledge
Shape and grow the HV Primary Plant capability within the T&D team
Develop people through coaching and mentoring, fostering a collaborative knowledge-sharing environment
Promote best practices and innovative approaches to support the energy transition
