Global Finance Strategy & Insight Analyst

Overview

In this role you translate complex data into executive-ready insights to shape strategic decisions across a global, multi-disciplinary business. You connect market trends, competitor intelligence and internal performance to identify risks, opportunities and strategic options. You’ll work with cross-functional partners to test assumptions and support executable plans, delivering concise leadership packs and dashboards. This is a high-impact, future-focused position at the intersection of finance, strategy and market intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain external benchmarking views (peer KPIs, market dynamics, productivity metrics)
• Combine internal data with external signals to produce trend analyses and forward-looking insights
• Design and run scenario and sensitivity models covering macro factors (pricing, volume/mix, FX, inflation, capacity)
• Identify strategic opportunities, risks and optimisation levers with robust data support
• Partner with Strategy, Commercial and other teams to test assumptions and shape executable plans
• Create concise, insight-led dashboards and executive briefings
• Communicate assumptions, limitations, implications and recommended actions to senior stakeholders
• Improve governance, repeatability and documentation of insight production methodologies and sources

Key requirements

• Strong analytical capability from consulting, research, rotations or insight-focused roles
• Confidence with financial and operational KPIs and translating data into strategic insight
• Experience building scenario, sensitivity or driver-based financial models (Monte Carlo a plus)
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets; experience with Power BI or Tableau
• Excellent written and verbal communication with ability to produce executive-level presentations
• Structured, detail-oriented approach with high data quality and governance standards
• Commercial curiosity and interest in markets, competitors and industry trends
• Experience in professional services, engineering or consultancy environments (desirable)
