In this role you will shape and lead the public procurement function within a Leeds-based organisation, delivering strategic guidance across the business and ensuring value-for-money and social value. You will own end-to-end tenders under the Procurement Act 2023 and manage contracts and renewals, partnering with stakeholders across multiple indirect categories. Responsibilities
Provide strategic procurement guidance to stakeholders
Manage spend across indirect categories (HR, Facilities, IT, Professional Services)
Lead end-to-end tender processes under the Procurement Act 2023
Maintain and manage the contracts register, ensuring compliance and timely renewals
Embed social value in procurement activity
Collaborate with stakeholders to shape procurement strategy and function
Key requirements
Proven background in UK public-sector procurement
Experience leading tenders end-to-end
Knowledge of PA23 / PCR2015 and public-sector frameworks
Commercially astute with strong analytical ability
Ability to build and manage supplier relationships
Stakeholder engagement and management skills
Ideally CIPS Level 4 or equivalent (or willingness to study)
Ability to commute to the Leeds office 5 days per week
