Senior Asset Planning Sponsor

Overview

In this role you will lead the Asset Planning Sponsors to ensure safe, reliable and affordable Wastewater network assets. You will drive alignment with the AMP business plan and optimise Capex and Opex while managing asset risk. You will develop the team and foster key partner relationships to deliver performance improvements and regulatory obligations. You will work within the Wastewater Service Delivery Team to support customers and protect the environment, contributing to Yorkshire Water’s mission to serve communities 24/7/365. This is a strategic leadership role in a regulated utilities context with a strong focus on delivery, risk, and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Asset Planning Sponsors team to deliver safe, reliable, and affordable wastewater assets aligned with the AMP
• Develop and guide the team to manage asset risks to meet the AMP business plan
• Support management of Concept and Definition phase programmes and maintain relationships with contract partners

Key requirements

• Knowledge of asset management principles and processes in a regulated environment
• Experience in operational and/or strategic leadership roles
• Knowledge of Wastewater assets
• Financial awareness of the AMP plan
• Understanding of Wastewater Asset Planning within risk management
• Experience investigating performance shortfalls on wastewater assets
• Experience building and maintaining internal and external relationships
• Project management experience
• Proven ability to lead successful teams
