Overview

As a career-focused Business Development Manager in construction, you will drive growth by securing landmark UK projects in residential, commercial, student accommodation and education sectors. You will work with cross-functional teams to shape opportunities, build strategic relationships, and develop winning approaches for high-value tenders. Responsibilities

• Conduct market analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities
• Generate suitable business opportunities aligned with the business strategy
• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the UK construction sector
• Build and maintain strong client and key stakeholders’ relationships
• Develop winning strategies to secure contracts and expand the project portfolio
• Support the bid management process as required
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure project delivery aligns with client expectations

Key requirements

• Extensive experience in business development within the UK construction industry
• Demonstrable background working for a main contractor in similar roles
• Proven experience and relationships with key development organisations with an extensive network across sectors
• Strong understanding of bid management processes for large-scale construction projects
• Proven ability to win projects valued at 70 million or above
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
