Overview

In this role you design end-to-end analytics platforms to turn raw data into insights at scale. You partner with customers to architect data lakes, lakehouses, warehouses, and streaming pipelines leveraging AWS analytics services. You act as a trusted advisor guiding modernisation from on-prem to cloud-native solutions and translating business needs into scalable designs. You join a specialist team focused on performance, governance, and data-driven culture, influencing product direction and sharing knowledge across the analytics community. This is a hands-on, impact-driven role shaping the future of analytics for enterprise customers.

Responsibilities

• Architect analytics solutions across data lake, lakehouse, warehouse, and streaming architectures using AWS services
• Lead analytics modernisation from legacy platforms to cloud-native analytics, including ETL/ELT refactoring and performance validation
• Partner with AWS AGS sales teams to identify opportunities, shape deals, and position AWS competitively
• Deliver proofs of concept to demonstrate performance, cost optimisation, and scalability
• Create reference architectures and reusable blueprints for streaming ingestion, CDC pipelines, data mesh, and governed data sharing
• Advise enterprise customers translating BI, reporting, and analytics requirements into scalable designs
• Influence AWS service roadmaps by providing customer feedback and participating in betas
• Collaborate with AI/ML, Security, and Migration teams to connect analytics foundations to downstream workflows

Key requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Experience in IT development or implementation/consulting in software or internet industries
• Experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures
• Experience communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences, including executives
• Experience architecting analytics or data platform solutions (data warehousing, data lakes, ETL/ELT, BI, real-time streaming)
• Experience delivering technical presentations or thought leadership to senior technical and business audiences
