As the Industrial Water/Wastewater Lead, you drive growth and technical excellence for HDR’s water portfolio in the UK. You’ll lead multidisciplinary teams, manage complex projects, and build strong client relationships. You shape delivery quality and program maturity while advancing HDR’s position in the industrial water sector. This role offers the chance to influence projects across the full lifecycle and contribute to responsible infrastructure growth.
Responsibilities
Direct and coordinate multi-discipline project teams across the full lifecycle
Manage small-to-medium projects and oversee larger programs
Plan and execute multiple projects concurrently
Maintain client relations and participate in marketing, contracts, design and production meetings
Lead deliverable development sessions with stakeholders
Oversee staffing/workload and ensure on-time, on-budget deliverables
Monitor financials and adjust efforts to stay within budget and schedule
Coordinate with Accounting, Operations, and Leadership for periodic reviews
Implement QA/QC procedures
Perform other duties as needed
Key requirements
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Science, or equivalent field or experience
Minimum 10 years of experience
Professional engineering license recognized by local licensing board (e.g., Chartered Engineer)
Experience in project execution in Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Mining, Food & Beverage and/or Industrial Markets
Computer skills in Microsoft Office and chemical/process design software (Hysys, Aspen Suite, EnviroSim BioWin, Hatch GPS-X, or OLI Systems)
