Commercial Product Manager / IT Bid Manager - Transport

Overview

In this role you drive commercial product activities and IT bid responses within the transport sector, aligning solutions with organisational goals and client requirements. You bridge Digital & Technology product teams, bid teams, suppliers, and operations to craft compelling IT tender submissions. You’ll understand roadmaps, backlogs, and supplier dynamics to shape bid narratives and pricing. This position sits in a transformation-focused environment, offering impact through modernisation and cross-functional collaboration. You will be a pivotal contributor shaping bids and long-term strategic outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate technology inputs from Product Managers and platform teams to build IT bid responses
• Create narrative and product vision for bids and the overall submission story
• Understand technology roadmap, projections and backlog
• Own and manage supplier relationships from a bid perspective
• Cost modelling of supplier quotes and negotiate pricing with procurement/finance support
• Drive bids forward through effective supplier engagement

Key requirements

• Proven experience in bidding or IT Bid Management / Proposition Management within a transport setting
• Strong technological understanding
• Excellent stakeholder and supplier management skills
• Experience coordinating across multiple teams
• Demonstrated ability to engage with both white-collar and blue-collar associates
