Biomolecular NMR Spectroscopist
Overview
In this Biomolecular NMR Spectroscopist role you will support a proprietary fragment-based drug discovery platform within a leading pharmaceutical setting. You will work to generate and validate NMR data that informs protein–ligand interactions, focusing on oncology and CNS targets. You will develop ligand- and protein-observed NMR assays and contribute to hit validation using NMR-based fragment screening. You will express and purify isotopically labeled proteins to enable high-quality structural and kinetic insights. This is a hands-on, impact-driven position that sits at the intersection of method development and translational drug discovery.
Responsibilities
- Develop ligand- and protein-observed NMR assays
- Perform NMR-based fragment screening and validate and characterise hits
- Generate high-quality data on protein–ligand interactions (affinity, kinetics, MOA) using NMR
- Express and purify isotopically labelled protein samples
Key requirements
- Relevant degree in a scientific discipline
- Proven industry experience in protein NMR spectroscopy
- Working knowledge and practical experience with Bruker NMR spectrometers
- Bruker NMR spectrometers
- isotopically labelled proteins
- protein NMR
