Overview

As a Director at Artefact UK, you will lead AI and data strategy for a portfolio of clients, shaping senior-level guidance and scalable delivery playbooks. You’ll bridge strategy and execution, aligning opportunities with ML, AI, and data engineering solutions while mentoring technical leaders. Your work spans shaping client strategy at board level to developing repeatable solutions that scale across engagements. This role drives commercial growth, client advisory, and thought leadership within a fast-growing, globally connected practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI and data agenda across client portfolios; manage Tech Leads and Managers delivering engagements
• Shape and communicate client AI strategy at board level and build scalable playbooks
• Assess opportunities and match business pain points to ML/AI/data engineering solutions
• Lead use-case ideation, prioritisation, development, deployment, and continuous improvement
• Build and maintain a library of reusable use cases and solution sets
• Assess client data and analytics maturity; create repeatable playbooks for rapid enhancement
• Manage senior client relationships and ensure AI solutions integrate into client operations
• Lead end-to-end pitches, proposals, and RFP responses; contribute to pipeline and opportunity prioritisation
• Mentor talent, develop Tech Leads and Managers, and contribute to Artefact’s capability growth
• Stay ahead of AI and data analytics developments and shape Artefact’s strategy

Key requirements

• 10+ years of experience leading AI and data projects with measurable business value
• Deep expertise in AI technologies, ML, data analytics, and data management; strong data–infrastructure and cloud understanding
• Proven ability to engage with C-suite and senior stakeholders
• Track record of delivering engagements, growing accounts, and leading pitches
• Mentor mindset with focus on developing technical talent and capability building
• Experience across consulting and technical teams; preference for diverse backgrounds
• Strong judgment to balance strategic and technical work
