Corporate Tax - Product Advisory - Vice President

Overview

In this role, you support the Product Advisory Tax Team within the EMEA Corporate Tax function to help manage tax risks across business transactions. You’ll work with cross-functional partners to translate tax issues for non-specialists and learn how a global bank operates across multiple lines of business. You’ll grow technical knowledge of worldwide tax regimes and contribute to a collaborative, development-focused culture in London. This is an opportunity to shape tax risk management at scale within a leading financial services firm.

Responsibilities

• Advise lines of business on tax-related risks in transactions/products
• Develop knowledge of worldwide tax regimes applicable to transactions/products
• Communicate tax risks clearly to non-tax colleagues
• Escalate risks internally when appropriate
• Collaborate with external tax advisors and internal Corporate Tax teams (including VAT) and non-tax colleagues (Business, Legal, Finance, Operations)

Key requirements

• Professionally qualified
• Experience providing tax advice in a law or accounting firm
• Flexible disposition and good team player
• Ability to communicate tax issues to non-tax personnel and interest in learning commercial context
• Ability to work under pressure without compromising technical or ethical standards
• Analytical and logical approach to new and unfamiliar issues
• Excellent English
