Overview

As No.1 Site Manager, you lead a design & build project in East London for a reputable main contractor. You’ll drive demolition, groundworks and piling, steering the build from start to completion over ~40 weeks. You’ll work within a team to deliver social housing new builds and refurbishments, ensuring quality, safety and on-time delivery. This is a hands-on leadership role with exposure to demolition-to-completion delivery in a multi-sector context.

Responsibilities

• Lead demolition phase and oversee groundworks and piling
• Manage the on-site construction team to deliver the project
• Coordinate Design & Build processes through to handover
• Ensure safety, quality, and programme compliance on site
• Liaise with client and subcontractors to maintain progress and resolve issues

Key requirements

• Track record as No.1 on site with a reputable main contractor
• Experience on new build social housing projects
• Experience in social housing refurbishment (desirable)
• SMSTS
• CSCS
• First Aid
• Wide commuting range to East London and potential travel across London/Hertfordshire
