Technical Support - Specialist Services

Overview

In this role you will manage and assure a large, highly secure managed service that supports UK national infrastructure and HM Government Defence operations. You will work within a specialist security team, collaborating with cross-functional groups to maintain service resilience and security posture. You will handle 1st/2nd line operational activities, identify and resolve incidents, and support accreditation efforts. Responsibilities

• Manage 1st and 2nd line operational activities for a large, complex, highly secure managed service
• Operate in strict alignment with SYOPS, processes, procedures, and work instructions
• Maintain awareness of operational priorities, security posture, and live service risk during shifts
• Ensure infrastructure remains in an immediate readiness (R0) state
• Support regular testing, exercising, and development of service capability with the platform team
• Identify, escalate, and help resolve incidents and service degradation per procedures
• Assist in attaining and maintaining government and MoD security accreditation for the service

Key requirements

• Operational experience supporting secure, highly available managed services in regulated or classified environments
• Working knowledge across networking, infrastructure, security, virtualization, and environmental systems in secure estates
• Stakeholder management across virtual/on-site teams, BT lines of business, suppliers, and authorities
• Ability to operate strictly within documented SYOPS and procedures
