Senior Architect

Overview

As Senior Architect you lead technically complex projects within a growing architecture team. You will drive design delivery while mentoring others, with a clear pathway to head the Architecture department within 18 months. The role blends hands-on design work with leadership, in a firm focused on scientific, research and manufacturing facilities and governed by BIM and regulatory standards. You’ll collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams to deliver integrated, innovative solutions that align with the company’s growth and excellence goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects and manage a design team
• Hands-on day-to-day design work and setting an example
• Coordinate with clients and attend meetings/presentations
• Ensure delivery of technically complex designs within regulatory contexts
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate design solutions
• Support BIM strategy and project delivery using Revit and related tools

Key requirements

• ARB/RIBA Chartered Architect
• 10 years' UK industry experience post-qualification
• Proven experience on highly technical design projects
• Strong team management skills
• Familiarity with BIM and Revit
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and SketchUp
• Confident client-facing skills, including presentations and meetings
