In this role you will lead the creation and growth of the East Midlands Corporate practice within a national law firm, based in Nottingham. You will own the regional strategy, build a local client network, and recruit and develop a team to scale the practice. You will collaborate with national offices and leverage the firm’s platform to deliver high-quality corporate work. This position offers genuine leadership ownership and a path to shaping the regional market.
Responsibilities
Establish and lead the East Midlands Corporate practice
Develop a strong presence in Nottingham and the regional market
Build relationships with owner-managed businesses, entrepreneurs, investors and larger corporates
Leverage the firm's national client base and referral network
Develop a sustainable pipeline of high-quality Corporate work
Recruit and develop a growing team
Collaborate with colleagues across national offices
Shape the firm’s wider East Midlands strategy
Elevate your own profile and reputation in the region
Key requirements
Strong corporate experience in a recognised commercial law firm
Good reputation in the Nottingham/East Midlands market
Demonstrable client following or strong network of contacts
Experience in corporate transactions including acquisitions, disposals, M&A and shareholder matters
Ability and drive to develop new business
Strong commercial and interpersonal skills
Leadership qualities and ambition to build and develop a team
Entrepreneurial mindset and motivation to build a practice
