Resource Management Business Partner

Overview

In this role you will drive the transformation and governance of the GPS Resource Management function, partnering with the UK business to capture demand and deliver resourcing solutions. You will manage multiple delivery models to meet client needs and optimise commercial outcomes for GPS. You’ll shape resourcing processes, oversee forecasting and scheduling, and collaborate across GPS practices and external partners to remove barriers and drive operational excellence. This is a strategic, influence-led role at scale within a diverse, customer-focused technology services business.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and triage resource requests quickly to route demand through the best delivery model
• Utilise delivery models (onshore, offshore, nearshore, contractors, External Partners) to form teams meeting client needs and GPS outcomes
• Own supply vs demand forecasting to optimise utilisation and minimise non-productive time
• Design, develop, and govern resource management processes for an agile resourcing service
• Build trusted relationships with Solution area Sales and Service Management teams to deliver resourcing solutions
• Collaborate with GPS Practices teams (onshore and offshore) to ensure fair, capability-aligned resourcing decisions
• Coordinate with the external Partners network to augment GPS capability with governance and best practices
• Lead, coach, and develop direct reports; foster continuous improvement and professional development
• Oversee the Resourcing Management Scheduling tool and ensure demand and capacity accuracy
• Support MI reporting and provide leadership insights for strategic capability planning and skills forecasting

Key requirements

• Background in IT resource management
• Ideally IT technical recruitment experience
• Strong relationship management with senior stakeholders
• Critical thinker with rapid problem-solving ability
• Strong commercial acumen and understanding of business drivers
• Ability to read situations and build quality relationships
