Senior Estimators – Water Sector

Overview

In this Senior Estimator role, you will lead and produce accurate estimates for complex water sector projects, supporting bid opportunities and major programmes. You will help raise estimating standards across the team and mentor less experienced staff while aligning with departmental and business objectives. The position offers regional flexibility with remote working possibilities and exposure to regional and international client work. You will contribute to shaping cost management practices and deliver value through robust cost estimation.

Responsibilities

• Support leadership or manage the production of accurate and comprehensive estimates for projects/programmes
• Promote estimating good practice within the firm
• Assist in achieving departmental objectives
• Support bids for new work
• Act as a role model for less experienced staff
• Staff management where appropriate
• Produce estimates on complex, multi-disciplinary projects
• Develop and promote estimating best practice
• Stay updated on technical developments to provide best-practice advice

Key requirements

• Qualified to high standard in Estimating or Quantity Surveying with proven relevant experience
• Proven experience providing estimating services to the Water sector
• Experience with estimating software packages
• Membership of a relevant professional body with chartered status or working towards; desirable membership of RICS/CIOB/A Cost E.
