Group FP&A Analyst

Overview

In this FP&A Analyst role, you will support site-level and group budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting within a globally scaling natural resources business. You’ll work closely with site finance teams and the Executive leadership, bridging operational realities with strategic planning. The role blends hands-on analysis with board-ready reporting and includes exposure to live decision-making and AI/system development initiatives. A rare breadth for an analyst, with international travel and direct board interaction.

Responsibilities

• Operational FP&A: review forecasts, budgets, and actuals for sites and participate in budget/forecast reviews with ops and Executive leadership
• Group Forecasting & Planning: support group budgets, forecasts, long-range plans, and perform sensitivity analysis and scenario modelling
• Management Reporting: prepare monthly/quarterly/year-end management accounts, variance analysis, and cost/capex reviews
• Executive & External Reporting: build presentations for Executive Management and the Board, and analyst slides for quarterly updates
• Projects & Continuous Improvement: ad hoc analysis, project work, and involvement in system development and AI initiatives

Key requirements

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with a graduate degree
• Solid FP&A, budgeting, and forecasting experience; mining background preferred
• Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI; Hyperion exposure a plus
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
