Overview

As Principal Product Designer at TIDAL, you will set vision and quality for the product and brand ecosystem. You’ll lead complex design initiatives end-to-end and shape roadmaps with Product, Engineering, and AI leadership. Your work elevates craft at scale and influences how artists grow their careers. You will mentor peers, drive AI-driven design approaches, and identify new opportunities to advance the business and culture of music.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive long-term product vision and design strategy across key product areas
• Lead complex, ambiguous design initiatives from concept to ship
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and ML/AI leadership to shape roadmaps and business strategy
• Set design excellence standards, systems, and quality benchmarks at scale
• Pioneer AI-driven design approaches to boost velocity and capabilities
• Mentor designers through feedback and knowledge sharing
• Identify new opportunities for the business and act on them

Key requirements

• 8+ years of Product Design experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating craft and systems thinking
• Graphic design skills for brand cohesion across 360 activations and social channels
• Experience shaping long-term product visions that inform roadmaps
• Proven track record shipping strategic work autonomously from multi-year visions to iterative releases
• Expertise defining design systems and standards for cohesive experiences at scale
• Strong influence and partnership skills with leadership
• Fluency with AI and new technologies to unlock creative or business potential
• Passion for music, artists, and the creative economy
• Comfort working in a small, fast-moving team with multiple responsibilities
