Account Executive, Partnerships – SME & Growth

Overview

In this role you drive UK market expansion by converting partner referrals into active SME accounts. You will work with a cross-functional GTM Partnerships team to articulate Airwallex’s value in multi-currency accounts, cross-border payments and treasury tools, while nurturing partner relationships. You’ll own a consultative sales process from qualification to onboarding, collaborating with legal and risk teams to close agreements. This is a high-impact, growth-focused role in a hybrid London setup.

Responsibilities

• Develop deep product expertise across Airwallex platform (multi-currency accounts, global transfers, corporate cards, treasury management)
• Own end-to-end sales cycle for partner-referred leads from qualification to onboarding
• Serve as main point of contact for partners and nurture referral relationships with GTM Partner Managers
• Strengthen partner relationships as a core stakeholder in deals
• Lead consultative discovery sessions to understand client financial setup and pain points
• Negotiate and execute commercial agreements with legal, risk, and revenue operations
• Exceed revenue and activation targets through value-based selling
• Contribute to improving partner sales motion and conversion efficiency

Key requirements

• 3+ years of B2B sales in fintech, commercial banking, or B2B SaaS
• Experience selling financial solutions to SME customers (cross-border FX, treasury, payments, or corporate cards)
• Strong commercial/strategic instincts with a track record of meeting/exceeding OKRs/KPIs
• Proficiency with CRM platforms (Salesforce) and standard sales enablement tech
• Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
