In this role you will steer data governance across a merged Vodafone and Three environment, enabling safe, rapid data access and value. You’ll shape a scalable governance framework and guardrails, collaborating across teams to balance compliance with innovation. You’ll work with key platforms and stakeholders to drive adoption, measure outcomes, and impact business value. Responsibilities

• Lead the UK Data Governance framework implementation, ensuring proper access controls and data availability
• Turn governance into a competitive advantage by reducing friction and accelerating information access
• Translate data risks into practical standards, policies, and guardrails for compliance and innovation
• Drive governance controls across platforms (GCP, EDW, Satori, Collibra, Dataplex, Tableau)
• Partner with Governance & Risk Manager to align risk insights with enterprise objectives
• Influence development of a scalable data ownership model linked to business value
• Collaborate with Privacy, Legal, Cyber Security, Data Platform, Analytics, Commercial, Marketing and external regulators
• Deliver automation initiatives with Operations and Data Quality to streamline governance processes
• Monitor governance performance via policy adoption, workflow automation, platform controls and risk mitigation

Key requirements

• Extensive experience in data governance, data management or data risk in a complex enterprise
• Ability to influence stakeholders and translate governance concepts into business value
• Experience designing or evolving data governance frameworks for large-scale data initiatives
• Experience with federated governance models and organizational change across multiple teams
• Strong understanding of governance guardrails and access management across modern data platforms
• Practical experience with Collibra, Satori, GCP IAM, Dataplex, enterprise data warehouses and BI platforms
• Ability to translate policies into measurable outcomes and tangible business benefits
• Strong risk analysis skills and ability to convert requirements into clear controls and standards
• Collaborative, inclusive approach with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
