In this role you will design and deliver advanced software solutions within Oceaneering IMDS to support safety, reliability, and efficiency of offshore assets. You will lead technical workstreams, mentor teammates, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to balance new development with debt remediation. You will optimize systems for performance, scalability, and maintainability while staying abreast of emerging technologies. Responsibilities
Design and implement advanced software solutions to meet complex requirements
Lead code reviews and mentor junior team members
Optimize software for performance, scalability, and reliability
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions
Identify opportunities for system and process improvements and implement changes
Troubleshoot complex issues as a technical resource
Plan and estimate development efforts for projects
Balance technical debt resolution with new development to ensure long-term maintainability
Key requirements
Advanced proficiency in programming languages and frameworks relevant to the role
Strong understanding of design methodologies and principles
Experience with Continuous Delivery and DevOps tools and practices
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
Ability to lead and mentor team members
Effective communication for technical and non-technical audiences
Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline
Significant experience in software development with a proven track record of delivering complex projects
