Senior Pricing Analyst – Pricing Lead

Overview

In this role you will apply advanced pricing analytics to influence pricing decisions, growth and profitability for a global insurer. You will join the Risk Pricing team to develop and refine models using GLMs and modern machine learning techniques. You will monitor performance metrics and translate findings into actionable insights for the market pricing team. You will help shape processes and documentation to keep outputs accurate and transparent. This role offers development support and the chance to experiment with new modelling techniques that impact real business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve risk pricing models using GLMs and advanced machine learning techniques
• Drive R&D and feature engineering to raise model sophistication
• Monitor expected loss ratios, risk mix and pricing assumptions and translate findings into actionable market pricing insights
• Shape processes and documentation to ensure pricing outputs are accurate and transparent

Key requirements

• Experience in general insurance pricing, ideally personal lines
• Strong analytical skills with large, complex datasets, using Python, R, SQL or SAS
• Great attention to detail and track record of meeting deadlines
• Confident stakeholder management and ability to explain technical work clearly
• Experience with Emblem, Radar, Excel VBA or similar pricing software (advantageous)
• Knowledge of machine learning techniques and pricing optimization
