In this role you will shape complex product experiences and own bp’s enterprise design system, ensuring consistency, accessibility, and scalable patterns across products. You will collaborate with product, engineering, and research teams to translate insights into practical design solutions and guide others in ambiguous spaces. The initial focus is the design system tokens, components, and interaction patterns, with growth into the broader DevEx portfolio and AI-enabled tooling. You contribute to accessible, high-quality design outcomes and mentor teams in adopting system-wide standards.

Responsibilities
Own and evolve the design system: tokens, components, and patterns in Figma; create guidance, specs, and documentation to enable consistent adoption
Guard design-system integrity: ensure correct usage across products and close gaps between design and code with engineers
Own accessibility: design for WCAG AA/EAA compliance across components and states
Synthesize research: plan interviews/usability tests and translate findings into journey maps and design recommendations
Define user journeys and interaction patterns for complex workflows; create service blueprints if needed
Execute design and prototyping: wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity interfaces per system and accessibility standards
Facilitate workshops, reviews, and cross-functional discussions to improve outcomes and shared understanding
Explore AI-assisted design workflows for research synthesis, exploration, or documentation with ethical and inclusive focus
Key requirements
Several years of hands-on product design experience delivering complex digital experiences
Experience designing and maintaining enterprise design systems with scalable tokens, components, and patterns
Fluent in Figma (variants, tokens, components, structured handover)
Designs to WCAG AA / EAA accessibility standards across all component states
Portfolio demonstrating problem reasoning, design interactions, and progress in ambiguity
Plan or contribute to user research and translate findings into design decisions
Explain and defend design choices in writing and discussions; collaborate with engineers on design-to-code handover (no production coding required)
Facilitation of workshops and cross-functional alignment
Clear written and verbal communication
Collaborative and constructive feedback culture
Figma and modern design-system tooling
Accessibility and WCAG AA/EAA compliance
Design systems thinking and token/component governance
