Senior Associate or Junior Vice President, Wholesale Strategy - Investment Banking focus

Overview

As a Wholesale Strategist in Nomura’s London-based Investment Banking Strategy team, you advance the firm’s wholesale initiatives by directing key projects from ideation to execution. You work closely with senior leaders and regional COO teams to translate strategy into actionable programs. The role combines hands-on analysis, multi-project leadership, and mentorship to drive growth and performance across Global Markets and Investment Banking. This is a global, cross-functional opportunity to shape strategic priorities in a fast-changing market.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic projects from ideation to execution and shape team priorities
• Contribute hands-on with diverse projects delivering actionable insights
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously ensuring timely delivery
• Train and mentor junior team members and manage workload distribution
• Engage internal stakeholders and act as trusted advisor to senior leaders

Key requirements

• Senior Associate or Vice President level experience
• Banking or Management Consulting background preferred but not essential
• Strong PowerPoint proficiency for senior management presentations
• Strong analytical and Excel skills including financial modeling and data analysis
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with senior management
• Attention to detail, multi-tasking and meeting deadlines
• Problem-solving mindset and project-mode temperament
• Interest in the wider Capital Markets and Investment Banking environment
