Overview

In this role you will maintain and enhance the firm’s compliance framework to meet FCA and regulatory obligations. You will work with senior stakeholders across the business to provide practical regulatory guidance and support governance activities. You will lead financial crime controls, risk assessments, and GDPR/data protection initiatives, shaping the compliance program as the business grows. Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the compliance monitoring programme and framework
• Provide regulatory guidance to business stakeholders on applicable requirements
• Monitor regulatory change and assess impact on the business
• Manage financial crime activities: AML, sanctions, KYC, anti-bribery and corruption controls, fraud prevention
• Support onboarding of new clients and insurer partners with KYC and sanctions screening
• Conduct compliance risk assessments and maintain risk registers
• Support regulatory submissions, notifications, and regulator engagement
• Lead/support compliance projects including GDPR and data protection initiatives
• Investigate incidents, breaches, and regulatory matters with reporting and remediation
• Deliver compliance training and awareness initiatives
• Prepare compliance reports for senior management and Board stakeholders
• Support internal/external audits and regulatory reviews and coordinate responses
• Promote a culture of compliance, governance and regulatory awareness

Key requirements

• Significant compliance experience in the insurance sector (broker, MGA, or London Market)
• Strong knowledge of FCA requirements, governance frameworks and market regulations
• Practical experience in financial crime: AML, sanctions, KYC, anti-bribery and corruption controls
• Experience providing regulatory advice to senior stakeholders
• Exposure to policy development, regulatory change and governance activities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Analytical, organisational and problem-solving capabilities
• Experience in growing insurance businesses and/or delegated authority arrangements is advantageous
