Health, Safety & Environment Advisor

Overview

As an HSE Advisor at Müller Severnside Dairy, you will help safeguard people, assets and the environment while promoting a positive safety culture. You will implement compliance with HSE legislation and Müller policies, and drive continuous improvement across the site. You’ll lead risk assessments, audits and incident investigations, and deliver engaging HSE inductions and training. This hands-on role partners with cross-site colleagues to steer behaviour safety, monitor performance, and support external audits. Your work supports a safe, sustainable operation and meaningful wellbeing for the team.

Responsibilities

• Support compliance with HSE legislation and Müller policies
• Carry out risk assessments and legal audits
• Investigate incidents and close out actions and non-conformances
• Deliver HSE inductions and training
• Champion behavioural safety and colleague engagement
• Coordinate HSE programmes and track performance data
• Support external audits and regulatory visits
• Administer HSE systems, internal audits and health surveillance schedules
• Deputise for the HSE Manager when required

Key requirements

• NEBOSH Certificate is essential
• IEMA Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management is desirable
• Experience of HSE auditing
• Confident communicator who can influence and engage
• Comfortable delivering training and promoting a strong safety culture
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and SHE systems such as SharePoint and EcoOnline
