IT SOX Controls Tester

Overview

In this role you will test and validate SOX controls across a cloud-native environment to safeguard Wise’s IT landscape. You will collaborate with Finance, Risk, Security and Platform teams to clarify SOX 404 requirements and drive control maturity. You’ll use analytics and automation to assess design and effectiveness, while ensuring high-quality documentation. This is an opportunity to help build a scalable, secure platform for global money movement and improve control coverage beyond manual testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform Design & Operating Effectiveness testing of Access Management, Change Management, and IT application controls across cloud infrastructure and SaaS
• Partner with Finance, Risk, Security, and Platform teams to communicate SOX 404 requirements and expectations
• Support control owners in maturing risk and control environments
• Leverage data analytics and automation to assess control design and operating effectiveness
• Maintain high documentation quality and ensure testing methods comply with SOX 404 requirements

Key requirements

• Deep knowledge of SOX 404 requirements, COSO framework, and IT control frameworks (NIST, ISO27001)
• 3+ years in Technology Risk or IT Audit with a focus on SOX
• Experience with first-time SOX audits in cloud-native environments
• Understanding of Change Management in CI/CD and Access Management in a microservices architecture
• Experience with AWS, Terraform, GitHub, Jira, Okta, and SailPoint (preferred)
• Desire to modernize testing methodologies using data analytics and automation
• Ability to communicate complex control findings to engineers and finance stakeholders
