Regional Environmental Lead

Overview

In this Regional Environmental Lead role you will oversee environmental management across a key UK region for a highly regulated site. You will support ISO 14001 systems, lead audits, drive continuous improvement and ensure environmental governance. You will collaborate with operational leadership, regulators and stakeholders, manage incident reporting, and provide guidance on legislation and best practice. This is a high‑profile opportunity to shape environmental performance at a complex site with limited travel.

Responsibilities

• Support ISO 14001 systems across the region
• Prepare sites for audits and lead environmental assessments
• Manage incident reporting and near-miss investigations
• Provide expert guidance on legislation and best practice
• Collaborate with operational leadership, regulators and internal stakeholders to ensure robust governance

Key requirements

• Degree in Environmental Management or Level 6 Diploma in Environmental Management
• Post‑qualification experience
• Chartered status or working towards chartership
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Experience in regulated, operational environments
