Legal counsel

Overview

As Legal Counsel for Vinted Pay and Marketplace, you will advise on payments-related law across multiple jurisdictions, drive regulatory compliance, and guide product initiatives. You will work with Compliance, Product, Engineering, and leadership to translate legal requirements into actionable processes. This role combines contract negotiations, user terms, and regulatory monitoring to support fast-paced, international growth. You will be a key partner ensuring safe, compliant payments and marketplace operations across the UK, Luxembourg, and Lithuania, contributing to a scalable, regulated payments platform.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day legal support to Vinted Pay's licensed entities and local teams across Lithuania, Luxembourg, and the UK
• Advise Product and Engineering on new features and launches with practical legal risk assessments
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements and translate partner needs into product/process updates
• Draft and maintain user terms, legal documentation, and localized wording in user flows
• Monitor regulatory developments and drive end-to-end legal projects and product initiatives
• Collaborate with global Legal and Compliance to ensure consistent approaches across entities and jurisdictions

Key requirements

• Very strong legal background in payments/fintech (EMI, PSP)
• Experience with regulated payments; marketplace payments is a plus
• Ability to prioritise multiple workstreams
• Comfortable working with stakeholders across teams, entities, and countries
• Pragmatic and commercially minded
• Confident in a fast-paced, scaling, international environment
