Overview

In this role you will manage a portfolio of high-value catastrophic injury and personal injury claims, collaborating with Partners and contributing independent ownership of cases. You’ll handle injuries such as brain and spinal injuries, amputations, and polytrauma across EL/PL and Motor matters, with values starting around £100k up to £20m+. The position offers a hybrid London-based setup with flexibility on attendance, working within a large, nationally recognized team serving major insurers. You will build client relationships, coordinate experts, and navigate complex causation issues to drive outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Manage own caseload of high-value defendant claims (£100k-£20m+) including EL/PL and Motor matters
• Draft pleadings and client reports, attend court hearings, and meet court deadlines
• Conduct liability investigations, gather evidence, and instruct experts
• Consider medical causation issues and assess complex risk in cases
• Prioritise workload to maximise efficiency and adhere to SLAs
• Build and maintain internal and external relationships to support client needs
• Collaborate with Partners and more senior team members to support business objectives

Key requirements

• 1+ years PQE in litigation with EL/PL, catastrophic injury, large loss or serious injury cases over £100k
• Technical experience in EL, PL, Motor, Catastrophic Injury, Serious Injury, Personal Injury, Large Loss or Complex Loss work
• Experience handling high-value defendant files preferred
• Familiar with working in a commercial environment
