Responsibilities

Support children aged 2–5 within nursery and Early Years settings, with opportunities to work in Key Stage 1
Create a safe, caring and stimulating environment where children can thrive
Encourage early communication, language, literacy and numeracy development through play
Support children's social, emotional and personal development
Assist with daily routines, including mealtimes, personal care and transitions throughout the day
Build positive relationships with children, families and school staff
Adapt activities to meet the needs of all learners, including children with SEND
Help create an inclusive and engaging learning environment where every child feels valued

Key requirements

Passionate about supporting young children's learning and development
Calm, patient and naturally nurturing
Confident building positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
Comfortable supporting children aged 2–5, with some KS1 experience desirable
Flexible, reliable and eager to make a positive impact
Understanding of individual learning needs, including SEND, is beneficial
