Site Manager

Overview

As Site Manager, you will oversee day-to-day construction operations on utility-scale Solar PV and BESS projects, ensuring safety, quality, and progress against the programme. You will coordinate labour, subcontractors, and resources, and report to the Project Manager through construction and handover. This role offers UK-wide travel and involvement across multiple sites within a growing renewable energy business. You will shape on-site delivery and contribute to safe, high-quality project execution that supports the company’s renewable goals.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations and construction activities.
• Coordinate subcontractors, labour, deliveries and site resources.
• Monitor progress and resolve site delivery issues.
• Maintain site safety, quality standards and accurate records.
• Work closely with the Project Manager through construction and handover.

Key requirements

• Proven site management experience on utility-scale ground-mounted Solar PV projects.
• Strong practical construction knowledge and subcontractor leadership experience.
• Track record of managing safety, quality and programme performance.
• Appropriate industry qualifications and valid site management certifications.
• Temporary Works Coordinator or Supervisor experience/qualifications would be advantageous.
• BESS experience would be beneficial.
• Flexibility to travel and work away on projects across the UK.
• Initial project allocations are subject to confirmation.
