General Insurance Actuarial Director

Overview

As a Director in our Actuarial team, you will lead capital-focused projects for non-life insurance clients and aspire to Responsible Individual status within 12 months. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality capital modelling and validation work, shaping client solutions and contributing to Mazars’ growth and market differentiation. The role combines client leadership, mentoring, and hands-on technical delivery in a collaborative, values-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital-focused projects within the Capital service area
• Work towards Responsible Individual status with final signing authority within 12 months
• Collaborate with external audit teams to service insurance clients
• Mentor and potentially lead small teams; develop others
• Ensure delivery quality and timely execution; maintain professional and client-focused standards
• Travel occasionally to meet client needs
• Promote firm values and integrity in client and team interactions

Key requirements

• Experience in non-life insurance with capital modelling and model validation
• Qualified Non-Life actuary
• Strong knowledge of Excel, VBA, and Access
• Experience with R or other actuarial software is a plus
• Excellent communication and attention to detail
• Interest in people management and leading small teams
• Willingness to travel occasionally
• Proactive, delivery-focused, with team-oriented mindset
