Overview

In this PhD Recruiter role, you will cultivate long-term relationships with elite PhD candidates, research labs, and industry researchers to connect HRT with top mathematical and computational talent. You’ll immerse in technical domains to understand what world-class talent looks like and bridge academia with industry in a fast-paced, high-volume hiring environment. You will execute a candidate-centric process, shape talent strategy, and represent HRT at academic and industry events. This is a mission-driven opportunity to help build the firm’s premier research talent pipeline.

Responsibilities

Source and nurture long-term relationships with top-tier PhD candidates and elite researchers globally
Deeply understand technical domains to identify world-class quantitative and computational talent
Manage a high-volume, fast-paced inbound candidate funnel
Deliver a personalized, engaging candidate experience from first contact to close
Identify strategic opportunities to position HRT as a premier destination for top minds
Represent HRT at high-caliber academic and industry events
Partner with Recruiting Coordinators to streamline the interview process
Own the offer and closing process, including complex negotiations

Key requirements

2+ years of hiring elite technical or quantitative talent
Full-lifecycle recruiting ability with blend of campus engagement and outbound scouting
Strong intellectual curiosity to engage with complex technical domains
Hands-on execution mindset with day-to-day recruiting momentum
High resilience and ability to manage a busy, fluid pipeline
Collaborative and thoughtful team player
experience recruiting PhDs, researchers, or elite tech talent is a plus but not required
