Finance Manager *Publishing / Events*

Overview

In this role you will lead the Finance department for a leading global entertainment brand in London. You will work closely with the Finance Director to steer budgeting, forecasting and financial planning across UK, EMEA and Asia, enabling sustainable growth. You will mentor a small team, deliver analytical reviews and drive accurate cashflow, VAT controls and balance sheet reconciliations. You will partner with division heads to provide profitability analysis and support strategic decision-making, contributing to the company’s evolving product strategy and commercial success.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day Finance department operations
• Liaise with the Finance Director on financial strategy
• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes
• Manage and develop team members
• Perform analytical reviews and KPI dashboard reporting
• Coordinate monthly/quarterly cashflow reporting and balance sheet reconciliations
• Oversee VAT control and submissions
• Deliver revenue reporting with profitability analysis
• Business partner with heads of divisions for commercial insight
• Manage intercompany/internal management charges and systems controls
• Ensure robust accounts systems control and governance

Key requirements

• Strong technical, financial and management accounting skills
• Experience with Music, Entertainment and Media clients
• FRS 102 knowledge
• Multi-currency experience
• Team management of 2+ people
• End-of-year close and final accounts experience
• Ability to lead and motivate a team
• Strong strategic planning abilities
