Operative

Overview

In this role you support the Colchester DSM plant to ensure safe, reliable production and quality. You will work under the Plant Manager to hit daily targets and maintain smooth plant operations. You’ll handle loading, loading/unloading, and data reporting, while driving continuous improvement and strong housekeeping. This is a hands-on, development-focused position with opportunities to progress into supervisory responsibilities within an inclusive, people-first culture.

Responsibilities

• Meet daily production targets and ensure quality data reporting
• Move, load, and unload products between plant and vehicles
• Deliver accurate loading and timely vehicle turnaround to meet customer service requirements
• Contribute to continuous improvement of performance standards and production methods
• Maintain good housekeeping and plant safety
• Report data for quality purposes to relevant stakeholders

Key requirements

• Experience in an Industrial, Factory, or similar environment
• Desirable: Forklift Truck Operative, Multi-Skilled Operative, or Labourer background
• Good communication skills and a desire to develop operative and supervisory abilities
