In this role, you will build and manage a pipeline of highly skilled technical candidates for aerospace and electronic systems. You will partner with engineering and business stakeholders to attract, assess, and hire talent across engineering disciplines. You’ll design sourcing strategies and coordinate full-cycle recruitment in a fast-paced startup environment. You will help CesiumAstro scale its talent to support cutting-edge satellites and space systems, shaping the team that drives propulsion and innovation. This is a hands-on, autonomous position that values collaboration and strategic thinking.
Responsibilities
Understand role requirements with hiring managers and craft effective recruitment strategies
Source, engage, and assess top technical candidates across engineering, software, and aerospace disciplines
Evaluate technical ability and fit for complex engineering roles
Advise hiring managers on candidate backgrounds and make recommendations
Guide full-cycle recruitment from screening to offers, including negotiation
Utilize diverse sourcing channels (job boards, social media, conferences, networking) to build a strong candidate pool
Support additional functions within a fast-growing startup
Key requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
5+ years of technical recruiting experience in aerospace/defense/space sectors
Experience recruiting for electrical, mechanical, software, and other engineering roles
Strong networking skills and ability to engage passive candidates
Proven track record in full life cycle recruiting and offer negotiations
Ability to manage multiple high-priority requisitions in parallel
