Senior QA

Overview

As Senior QA at Cranswick Convenience Foods, you lead QA activities at the Valley Park Manufacturing site to safeguard food safety and quality. You will ensure QA systems meet regulatory duties while maintaining rigorous control mechanisms such as HACCP, traceability and audits. You’ll drive internal audits, monitor CCPs, and oversee site hygiene, documentation and KPI reporting. You will develop and coach the QA team, supporting cross-functional collaboration and customer/authority site visits. This role offers the chance to shape quality culture in a large, employee-centric cooked meats operation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure QA systems fulfil regulatory responsibilities and maintain control mechanisms (HACCP, traceability, audits)
• Lead and implement internal QA audits and communicate changes to relevant stakeholders
• Routinely control and monitor CCPs across the site, with regular audits
• Monitor and report technical KPIs, identifying improvement opportunities and implementing sustainable actions
• Maintain site hygiene standards in collaboration with Hygiene Manager
• Maintain, review and timely update QA documentation reflecting manufacturing processes
• Develop and coach the QA team through training plans and staff development
• Assist in site visits and audits by customers, EHO’s and Trading Standards

Key requirements

• Qualifications in Auditing, HACCP and Food Safety
• Strong leadership skills with ability to develop and motivate a team
• Experience with QA systems, audits and regulatory compliance
• Ability to monitor KPIs and drive process improvements
