As Family Legal Director, you will lead high-value and day-to-day private family matters, shaping the firm’s Family Law offering. You will work closely with partners to drive growth, oversee complex cases, and mentor junior lawyers. The role combines strategic leadership with client-focused service in a collaborative, inclusive environment. You will help raise the team’s local profile and expand cross-functional ties to support the firm’s regional growth.
Responsibilities
Lead complex and sensitive family law cases from start to finish
Provide supervision and mentorship to junior colleagues
Build and maintain lasting client relationships
Play an active role in business development and raising the team's profile locally
Contribute to the strategic growth of the practice in West Sussex
Key requirements
Extensive experience in private Family Law (Senior Associate or Legal Director level)
Confidence in handling complex cases and leading on significant matters
A strong network in the local market or intent to establish one
A proven record of business development or self-generated work
Empathy, emotional intelligence, and outstanding communication skills
A proactive team player with leadership capability and ambition
