Investment Banking, Senior Associate/Vice President (European Coverage)

Overview

In this role you will support BTIG’s European Investment Banking coverage by aiding deal execution across M&A, private and public offerings, and advisory services. You will work closely with senior bankers and clients, coaching junior team members, and coordinating transaction processes from outreach to closing. The role combines an entrepreneurial platform with rigorous analysis to drive growth for clients in Europe. You will help shape client strategies, lead financial modeling and valuation work, and contribute to business development.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate transaction processes across capital markets, private capital and advisory deals
• Prepare offering memoranda, proposals and client meeting materials
• Lead the preparation of valuations, financial models and industry-specific presentations
• Conduct research and analyses to support new business generation
• Organize and participate in marketing and client meetings
• Lead and participate in drafting sessions for transactions
• Perform due diligence related to transactions
• Interact with corporate clients, private equity and venture capital firms; senior bankers
• Develop and nurture client relationships
• Identify new business opportunities and provide tailored client recommendations
• Supervise and mentor junior bankers

Key requirements

• Bachelor degree from a top-tier university
• Minimum 4 years of investment banking experience in coverage or products groups (e.g., Consumer & Retail, Industrials, Business Services, TMT, M&A)
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills; ability to convey complex financial strategies
• Strong work ethic, detail orientation and pursuit of excellence
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to manage multiple projects
• Highly organized, proactive, energetic, decisive with integrity
• Comfortable interacting with business clients and management
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint; proficiency with banking databases (Bloomberg, CapIQ)
• Ability to work in team and self-directed settings
• Fluent in English; professional German preferred
