In this role you support the delivery of civil engineering tasks within Galliford Try’s waste water environment portfolio. You’ll work across sites on the AMP8 Severn Trent framework, performing general labouring, excavation support, pipework and concrete works, while maintaining high safety and housekeeping standards. You’ll report to a Site Manager and operate safely on site with a focus on quality, efficiency and collaborative teamwork. The opportunity includes training, flexibility, and a clear path to develop in a major infrastructure business.

Responsibilities
Carry out general labouring duties and site housekeeping
Unload materials safely and assist with loading/excavation activities
Assist in excavation and installation of civil engineering works (pipes, concrete)
Operate hand, power and percussive tools safely
Follow site procedures and health and safety rules
Maintain tidy, presentable and stocked welfare on site
Coordinate with site management and supervisors
Support and learn from site team to deliver on-site tasks
Ensure company property is stored securely when not in use
Key requirements
CSCS Card (Essential)
DOMS or EUSR Certification (Essential)
NRSWA Accreditation (Preferred)
CPCS roller and dumper training
Slinger/banksman training
Communication skills
Problem solving

Potable water mains laying and installation
Waste water pipe laying, manhole construction & benching
