Associate Director - Development Finance

Overview

In this Associate Director role, you will lead the structuring, underwriting and execution of UK real estate development finance deals from 10m to 75m, aligned with a growing lending platform. You will produce modelling and credit papers and present recommendations to Credit Committee, while collaborating with borrowers, advisers and internal stakeholders. The role also involves shaping credit policy and supporting junior team development, with scope to advance into broader credit leadership. This is a senior, impact-heavy position in a reputable, institutionally backed lender.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structuring, underwriting and execution of UK real estate development finance transactions 10m-75m
• Produce financial modelling, credit analysis and investment papers for Credit Committee
• Collaborate with borrowers, advisers and internal stakeholders throughout the transaction lifecycle
• Contribute to credit policy, portfolio monitoring and the development of junior team members

Key requirements

• 5–8+ years’ experience across real estate development finance, private credit or investment banking
• Strong structuring and underwriting experience across UK development finance transactions
• Advanced financial modelling and credit analysis experience
• Strong understanding of UK real estate development risk
