Quantity Surveyor required in Harlow

Overview

In this role you join the commercial team of a main contractor working across Education, Healthcare, Industrial and retail refurbishment projects. You will manage quantity surveying activities to support project delivery and cost control in a fast-paced environment. You’ll contribute to ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget and to high standards. This position offers scope to influence project outcomes and advance within a busy, sector-diversified company.

Responsibilities

• Manage quantities and cost control across refurbishment projects
• Support procurement and subcontractor management
• Prepare cost plans, invoices and valuation reports
• Assist with schedules of rates contracts and project cost reporting
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive value and efficiency

Key requirements

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or construction related courses
• Minimum of 5 years Quantity Surveying experience
• Experience working for a main contractor
• Experience working refurbishment projects
• Experience working on Schedule of rates contracts
• Proven track record of delivering construction projects
• Excellent communication and oral skills
