Manager, Research & Development Incentives - IT Specialist

Overview

In this Manager role, you will lead client-facing work to identify and document R&D activities that qualify for tax incentives. You will translate technical work into clear R&D claim documentation for HMRC and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities

• Analyse technical data and client documentation to plan R&D claim methodologies
• Conduct technical interviews with clients’ technical staff and summarize outputs for non-technical audiences
• Ensure appropriate costs linked to technical activity are captured in R&D claims within project teams
• Prepare clear HMRC submission reports explaining how R&D claims were developed
• Contribute technically to marketing and sales efforts based on technology knowledge
• Collaborate in diverse teams and foster an inclusive culture
• Project-manage multiple projects and coordinate with technical and finance teams

Key requirements

• Bachelor level degree in Information Technology or equivalent
• Developed technical expertise in at least one technology/area of software development
• Strong communicator with interpersonal awareness
• Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams and own the technical aspects of R&D claims
• Technologically curious with critical engineering mindset and healthy skepticism
• Well-organised with ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
