Registered Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead a 3-bed children's residential home in Tyseley, ensuring safe, high-quality care for young people with EBD. You will drive a strong, compliant operation and develop a skilled team to deliver positive outcomes. The position suits an experienced Registered or Deputy Manager ready to progress, or a senior leader stepping into registered management within a growing care-focused organisation. You will own the home’s performance, safeguarding, and service development, making a meaningful impact in young people’s lives.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the residential care team
• Ensure a safe, nurturing environment for young people
• Promote positive outcomes for residents
• Maintain compliance with legislation, regulations, and standards
• Collaborate with families, social workers, and other professionals
• Manage staff performance, supervision, and development
• Support recruitment, induction, and retention
• Uphold safeguarding and care planning standards
• Monitor care quality and identify improvement opportunities
• Handle incidents, complaints, and safeguarding matters

Key requirements

• Experience in children's residential care
• Experience as Registered Manager, Deputy Manager, or senior ready to progress
• Experience supporting young people with EBD and complex needs
• Strong leadership and people-management skills
• Ability to motivate and develop a residential care team
• Good understanding of safeguarding and children's residential regulations
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to maintain high standards of care, compliance and practice
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and service development
• Confidence to lead from the front and own the home
